“Ford literally handed their competition free customers”

I stopped short of saying that I didn’t understand the move. I do, to an extent, although I think there would have been room to improve on their sedans and make them more attractive to those who are in the market for one. But whether the decision ends up being commercially sound or not, it’s made me stop wanting to

You are the one driving a 240SX, you tell me.

Just wait until this recession grows legs or someone farts in the middle east (Like Netanyahu annexing a populated portion of the west bank) and people can’t afford gas for their monstrous trucks/SUVs. then they’ll want small cars and sedans.

I live in a state where people just voted in a gas tax and the government spends it on what they call road diets to take away drive lanes, and high speed rail, and metro lines nobody uses.

I was a Ford fan for most of my life, but their decision to abandon sedans brought that to an end. Whether or not it proves to be a fiscally sound decision remains to be seen.

In my state there’s annual vehicle inspections that must be done prior to registration. They read the OBD, which has mileage. The DMV gets the inspection data electronically from the testing businesses already, so I’d think it would be a slam dunk for the DMV to calculate your mileage from the previous year and use

Fuck off

Don’t be a prude.

Dealers charge for diagnosis and estimates. He didn’t waste their time.

$215/hr is ‘reasonable’?

He kind of did if you read the last paragraph in full, the parts were only $675. He did it in 5 hours so he factored $215/hr of shop time (reasonable number). Even if it was only the parts cost, they are rarely only 10% of the repair cost unless it's a huge engine and transmission removal job.

“Despite having no experience working on BMWs”

Chalupas are already so poofy and comfortable in my mouth, they should come with a sleep number.

Great News!

Maybe because it sells decently well?

Amazed they lasted that long here. I remember checking one out the year they arrived at an auto show in San Francisco. The fit and finish was astoundingly bad and overall my impressions is that the design looks really goofy. Sure- retro cars can be cool. The Mini still looks pretty nice even though it too is now

Not much of surprise.

The Renegade has a market.

It’s a Fiat. They'll never fix the QC issues.
