My friend and I made beer bread (just dump a bottle of your beer of choice into a mixing bowl, we used an IPA, and add flour and fun stuff—cheese, dried tomatoes) and potato soup with cheese and bacon. It was very starchy, and very lovely.

I asked Bryan Fuller about this on Twitter, and he just said that Will's discovery would be (in characteristic coyness) "something completely different". Which is both exciting and potentially disturbing, in the Hannibal way.
