The life hack that changed pie crust for me is a cheese grater. Instead of pinching the butter and flour together (which warms the butter up), the thing that works best for me is to throw the sticks of butter into the freezer for 10 minutes and then use a box grater to make it into tiny little butter bits. It takes

That will rust eventually... zip ties are plastic, they can’t rust. Checkmate.

Ah, but I never said anything about changing my diet. I’m not a heavy meat eater to begin with... and certainly while it was just my wife and I, we pretty much didn’t eat meat at home. Work lunch on the other hand...

My wife is vegetarian. I’m not. I love to cook, she hates to. As such I spend a whole lot of my time trying to get meat-based recipes to taste halfway decent when veg-ified and this stuff is a godsend. We use a whole lot of the vegetable base but I’ve started to use the garlic one in places where you want a more

On paper... it would make zero sense for them to continue an I-6 line for just that one vehicle. The V6's that go into the Colorado now are used in like 15 other GM vehicles.

Party cut only works when the pizza is so inexplicably cracker thin and devoid of toppings that the middle squares won’t disintegrate immediately. Meaning- St. Louis style pizza is the only one where it really works.

God damn these are hilarious. You paint such a vivid picture of the bleak existence that is this car that I feel like I’m in it. Not sure whether to be amazed or horrified.

Paging Tavarish....

It has to be derivative of *something*. There’s just far too much that goes into engineering an entire powertrain. I mean shit, even something as simple as a water pump has a lot of design considerations so that it’ll last 100,000 miles.

Did those ball joints really last 270k or do you think someone did a control-arm replacement already at some point?

Yeah, just like the Chevy Bolt! Tesla’s really kicking their ass on that one. Oh wait...

If you want the LOOKS of a truck without all that pesky utility, it’s the perfect vehicle.

I don’t think that’s true any more. The newer PCM’s from GMPP (supposedly) can be tuned just like a regular one.

There are a few companies that make lifts for outbacks. My pick for when I lift my forester is Anderson Design & Fab, they have a nice 2" lift that looks pretty easy to install.

The torque is the “at the wheel hub” torque value. Rolling dynos in the video take a known mass of the rollers and measure how quickly the rollers are accelerated. The length of the lever arm (in this case the wheel diameter) is not part of the equation at any point.

How bad can these things really be? We bought a 2017 pacifica about 6 months ago, and have had exactly zero issues with it. And that motor is a real honey. Even in something as big as the Pacifica it’s a lot of fun.

(Did anybody not have a toy of this exact car?)

This one is easy. It was the guy who ended up with his grandpa’s ‘68 Toronado. The first day he showed up with it, he got a lot of laughs. He just stood there taking it with this shit-eating grin on his face, because he knew something we didn’t. I mean.. to the untrained eye, it was a ridiculous looking boat of a

He just has Resting Asshole Face, he always looks like that.
