@scoobertron: oh man, bitlbee looks awesome. I already use irssi, so this is great.

@jeffeb3: "That's because my computer's got plenty of memory, and I don't. "
@sugardeath: what console IM client do you use?
I love me some screen. I'm a web developer by trade, and I use it daily. I keep my screens laid out so that 8, 9, and 0 are files I'm working on, 6 and 7 are command line mysql on a couple different servers, 5 is misc, 4 is root, and 1-3 are for libraries or include files. With vim, I basically only use the mouse…
This was like watching Willy Wonka, but with ink instead of chocolate. Pretty cool.
At 2:03, sounds like he blew a downshift or missed a gear... the sound of it churning against the rev limiter is something else.
A lot of times, both front rotors are only cut in one direction... this is the case with Wilwood rotors, at least. They basically have no opinion as to which direction is correct, since one will always be wrong.
@clinto: Did you even watch the video? That was seriously like the first thing that they referenced in it...
@avisionary: That would be interesting if it was true... AT ALL. In fact, the exact opposite is true. The kindle works perfectly fine in any orientation with polarized sunglasses, while the ipad is totally black in portrait mode.
He had me up until "Jet". Blech.
@tramusen: This router is about the bare minimum you can use that will have the horsepower to do the audio decoding, etc. At only $43 it's a pretty good deal for what you get. USB print servers are not much cheaper, and they have much more mediocre CPU's.
My first car was an 84 VW GTI. I was 17 and had never driven stick, so my dad had to test drive it and drive it home after I bought it. We got back, he handed me the keys, and said, "Don't let the cluch out too fast. Go figure it out on the frontage road over there."
@geolemon: If you haven't checked out the Vibrant at a T-mobile store, it's definitely worth a look. It's a really slick phone.
Krider, you're a douche. Every year, cyclists get killed on roads like this by drivers like you who don't want to share the road with "hippies" as you put it. One of those people was my friend's father, who was run down and killed by a car on roads like this. Yeah, that fucking hippie really got what was coming to…
"A big, metal keg that is lined with the same type of coating as your humble little can."
@Buzz Mega: The US military ones do. I talked to a guy who was an EOD (bomb disposal) tech in the marines, and he said they're using jammers to block cell-phone based triggers... but that just caused the bombers to switch to a trigger based on a paperclip, a stick, and about 1000m of fishing line. No way to jam…
"And now, I'm considering selling mine to help pay for a notebook computer that I need pretty badly."
I saw something like this at a business down the street from where I work. I was driving through the parking lot, and I see this bright spot on the ground near some bushes that is smoking like it is about to catch on fire. I got out to look at it more closely (and to make sure it wasn't actually going to ignite),…
"Check in your Google Accounts page..."
You actually don't need any apps on Android to do the blocking- you can do it directly through the standard "contacts" app. You will need Google Voice though if you don't want to get any voicemails.
