they're just observations of actual events, yo. the Clash (as an entity) were dead and gone for years before i was born, punk somehow survived and there's plenty of great music around today AND old stuff to discover, why would i care enough to get angry? i just think holding Strummer up as some kind of paragon of punk

i'm not angry, i just think there's a lingering misconception that Joe Strummer gave a shit about punk music for more than about a year

i perceive a supergroup so far removed from any actual present-day heavy music scene that when it came time to record their album they presumably went "Audiosiege? nah. Dead Air? nope. Godcity? no. Atomic Garden? not feeling it. i know, let's get the 'godfather of nu-metal' in here to record this shit!!!! yeahhhh!!!!!

who have been an utter joke for decades. you gotta do better than that

i mean… the evidence is there. dunno what else to say. even when the Clash were still around they ditched the 'punk' sound the first chance they got

i've never heard of this Faith… No… More, please elucidate further

you can't imagine someone in an interview asking the subject if they've seen or heard anything good lately? something like "you're one of the most well-known figures from the early days of punk, any punk bands around that you like?"

the razor's edge? what constitutes that? the one mediocre 7" that 31G has put out this year? please don't tell me you're talking about Retox

if you can listen to the part from :35 onwards in the song embedded up there and say that it doesn't sound anything like this: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

ehhhhhhhhh, they really, really do though

ay yi yi yi yi, this Dead Cross shit is BAAAAAAD, all those legends got together to make a System of a Down B-sides record?

the 'bonkers' seems appropriate, seeing as how Zouks is among the voice over cast (which is very impressive, ranging from comedy ringers like Mark Proksch to Daniel Craig and Mahershala Ali)

i like that Mello Yello a lot, there's also a Strawberry Orange one (?) on the machines now that's probably the tastiest sugar water i've ever swilled down my gullet

i doubt it, it's directed by one half of the Crank duo who are well known for their restraint and subtlety

there's also a live-action Titanic II by The Asylum that has a 1.6 on IMDb, but apparently it's not eligible for the Bottom 100 list cause it was direct-to-video

but the Turkish film has 3 times as many ratings as the Emoji movie, and Emoji's score is still lower

this is fun:

i always preferred the extended version of Tainted Blood that includes Where Did Our Blood Go at the end

[cut to George W. Bush watching hurricane relief concert in the White House, played by David Schwimmer]

…and the year's most shrugged-about flop, Rules Don't Apply…
