my grandma's probably not that much older than this guy's supposed to be and she can't even remember which is the Play, which is the Stop and which are the volume buttons on a CD player

good call, i like Hudsucker alot, shoulda remembered that

i noticed that too. almost every line from the promos is a different take it seems like, like lifeofwylie noted - the pinheadery line, too. and Sy slamming into Ray's car - the actual impact wasn't shown from above as is prominently featured in almost every ad spot. i think even the cause of death / cliffhanger line

here's the most definitive list i can come up with of Fargo TV / Coen films crossover:

a little Wolfenstein, a little Oskar Schindler, that's how you make a Krieger

1000% Sternwood greenhouse shit going on right there

Lebowski references:

they do both have a whole thing with blood

finally i can get back my guitar with the skeleton finger whammy bar and write that Whistlin' Pete album

RAC? Rock Against Communism?

you're totally right - it basically WAS just getting started. it was a rejected TV pilot after all, which i think is very evident throughout almost the entire film. all the pointless diversions featuring characters that would theoretically come back (were it to go to series) but end up never appearing again in the

a pilot that the executive in charge of greenlighting it watched at 6 AM during his breakfast, from across the room on a small TV, and turned the volume down after 5 minutes cause he was so bored. that's the story anyway. it never had a chance.

i'm a humongous Lynch fan, from his early shorts to his new shorts that he's made since Inland Empire… hell, his Lumiere short might be my favorite 55 seconds in all of film.

"They're not real, bud! Errybody knows it! Errybody!"

yeah, that's always a concern. also the one about Marvel squashing director's creative styles. i dunno that he has a strong enough personal style to be suppressed yet, but he's good at working within limitations i think. if he can turn nothing but a field, a car, two kids and a Kevin Bacon into something really

Cop Car is a real solid, tight, low-budget thriller with a great villainous turn from Kevin Bacon. Clown is an endearingly screwy horror movie. i enjoy his shit so far! i think this one will turn out to be pretty good.

judging by the trailers, there's still a lot of traditional xenomorph action in the movie. the neomorph is more like the halfway point between human and xenomorph. i dunno if you saw Prometheus, but there was at least one in that, looking more or less the same as in the picture up there.

from what i can gather based on the ads for this show, it's primarily about ol' Albert gettin' his dick wet

let him back on air one more time to promote the last part of his series - Killing O'Reilly.

i love a good, silly, over-the-top Coen brothers name, but Scoot McNairy is too far! who's going to be playing that ridiculously named character?!?!
