The only one that would be close (and I do think better, but only closely) would be David Simon’s other cop show where the constraints of network TV were lifted, but I’d agree that those two are the beginning and end of the conversation.

Yeah, I was astonished at how good Ford was on that show, and how he was definitely not phoning it in like he does quite a bit in recent decades.
Ha, that’s great. I hadn’t watched past the noted one until you said that.
Exactly my point - “demand for EVs is down” is unsupported by their evidence. If they’d said something along the lines of “demand for high-priced EVs like the F150 Lightning is down”, etc., I’d have no problem with that.
“because potential buyers are balking at high prices and spotty charging infrastructure”
Between this and the links provided regarding demand actually disproving the thesis that demand for EVs is lowering, I wonder if there’s been any talk of making these repeated misleading headlines more accurate.
Slide #9 gives us a twofer! A glorious cross from the left at the same moment the truck is soaring from the right. Majestic dance.
Calling himself “the Florida Joker” and the tattoo of the literal word “Joker” on his forehead surely will factor into the question.
Perhaps, but then by the same token Rockstar was inspired by him.
If this story could only have taken place a little ways north of there, in the Viagra Triangle, how much more fantastic would it have been!
“You ain’t getting a job at Home Depot with that face.”
I had a semi-similar one about thirty years ago. One friend, upon leaving a party, decided to demonstrate how cool his Mustang (I think; probably) was by peeling out like crazy, spinning the tires for a good 10-15 seconds of racket and smoke before actually driving away. This was on a quiet suburban residential…
“I was pretty surprised when they pulled me over since most people on NY Ave are going 20 over the limit and weaving in and out of lanes.”
Well sure, those ones are harder to catch up to!
Yeah, I’ve heard it said (probably here) that “if the car doesn’t have a crumple zone, you’re the crumple zone.” Cybertruck seems designed to try to prove that.
Steve Buscemi Jesus is working through some stuff, alright?
Prince Florian from Super Mario Wonder. Little caterpillar guy who lives in your hat and gives you extra powers as needed. Immediate legend.
Yeah, the Top Chef as well as the George Washington skits go immediately into the pantheon.
His turn as the elderly oil baron (or whatever) visiting his son (Pete Davidson’s) class for Career Day is legitimately among my all-time favorites for the show.
Flashing back to the opening screen of that movie in early 2017 was a blast, because it was a reasonably apt description of the state of things, down to stating that it took place in 2017, just as we here in the real world also had a game show host assume supreme executive power.
“but it’s a decent aircraft that takes flak for being a new design that’s still working out some bugs.”
Weren’t the first flight tests in 1989? How long are we going to give it?
And that’s... bad?
