He was worried that his kid wouldn’t get into Harvard because so many Asian kids have the exact same scores and they limit based on race. Kid ended up getting in but the fear is not unfounded.”

...that shows the fear was 100% unfounded. This is not the complexification you thought.

Her original complaint only spoke of hypothetical harm.  The false statement then alleged actual harm (or at least a basis to argue that it existed).  If the case turns on whether she needs to show actual harm to have standing, then it certainly would matter.

I recently had some giant grapes that were spectacularly good, so I think some grower must have figured it out.

Yeah, agreed - I remember the odd giant strawberry you’d come across in years past wouldn’t taste nearly as good as the normal ones, but lately when I’ve had one they’ve tasted just great.  Not so for blueberries, as the author noted, so I wonder what the strawberry growers did.

I’ve been building my own PCs since the late 1990s, and it’s true that as time has gone by the “it’s cheaper to DIY” has largely evaporated.  But that’s also coincided with so much great standardization that it’s never been easier to do, so the main draws for me in continuing to do it even now are 1) it’s fun, and 2)

These days if you can complete a Lego set you can build your own PC with virtually no difficulty. The only challenge is making sure you have the correctly-compatible parts in only a couple of specifics, but there’s a really well-functioning website for that. Next time, do it! I think it’s honestly a lot of fun.

Hello, Person Who For Some Inexplicable Reason Decided To Register An Account Just For That: It was a tragedy, objectively.

I’m going to use a quote from your other response to respond to:

Sure it could, in the senses that 1) the larger the Court gets the less things swing on any single particular Justice, 2) the more the GOP billionaires would have to spread their bribe money around, 3) the more winning coalitions would need to be formed in order to issue a majority opinion (as we’ve seen a couple of

If I happened across that, I’d fuse it to my Rusty Broadsword to gain +5 attack power.

Water pressure does not function at all the same as putting an anvil on top of something.

By the same token, though, there’s nothing stopping the GOP from packing the court either (when they’re in charge)(they already have arbitrarily changed the number of Justices for a year to get their way in recent memory), so pretending that the only thing holding them back is that the Democrats haven’t done it first

And in that one movie, have the villains be a Proud Boy-type group of white racist punks* whom he guns down by the hundreds without mercy. Really turn the fucking screw.

* or the British equivalent, I suppose, or both

If you think that sends you to your bunk, uh, definitely start watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Given that Gunn has noted his appreciation for All-Star Superman, as with all people of good conscience, I’ll bet that the beginning of the movie is similar or identical to the 4-panel/8-word masterpiece that ASS began with.

“Ah, does anyone here speak English?”

Now, the former president appears to be tired of losing”

No, filing this means he still hungers to feel that sweet sting.

And that part should go to Jon Hamm when they get there anyway.

Brosnahan is such a perfect casting for Lois Lane that I’d be okay if Gunn just made this a Lois Lane movie instead. Lois Lane: Legacy even maintains the necessary alliteration!

No doubt about it.
