Yes, it’s very good.  Also a setting in the later portion of the book is a billionaire’s floating island made up of a retired aircraft carrier lashed to an oil tanker lashed to tons of other increasingly smaller vessels, so your accidental reference was spot-on!

I didn’t even know S6 was maligned among fans at all - 5 and 6 were obviously better than 4 and quite decent overall, and I’ve never seen anyone who watched the whole show and thought otherwise.  Weird.

Except that the article directly linked to the phrase about the $10 million explains very clearly that that was the amount he agreed to in settlement of the civil suit.  Luke unfortunately and sadly conflated the criminal case with the civil case and the resulting prose here was extremely misleading.
