Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying - you’re self-selecting all of these things, so to say that books are generally of higher quality than movies based upon that self-selection isn’t supportable.
But that’s self-selecting, so it’s essentially meaningless. There are many, many books/TV shows/plays that are crap too, just as there are with movies.
