“the car’s gas pedal got stuck under the floor mat.”
Now that’s a hot scoop.
Is there any way at all that those wheels could work? Or the windshield? Looks like one of my early projects when I was learning to use Blender. It’s like a car, but without any of the features that make cars useful.
Gorgeous. Impressively designed. Inspiring. Goes in a straight line. Unable to handle the smallest obstruction. Would disintegrate into a pile of string and plastic within 24 hours of being left alone.
It’ll also be constructed by an abused workforce working in unsafe conditions, have weird panel gaps from where the parts don’t quite fit together, and fall apart immediately, despite being touted as the new ideal of the future. What a relief that we’ve moved on from such times.
Communists: putting the “red” back in “red sports car”
To be fair, a gas station needs a little electricity (from a small generator, for example) to run a pump, or even a hand-powered pump, to dispense gas. An EV needs both lots of electricity, and TIME to charge. At the moment, there’s no way to put a 5 gallon can of electricity in the trunk of your EV for emergencies.
Oh come on. Everyone knows you’re not supposed to get electrical appliances wet. If you read the Tesla manual you’d see:
It’s called the accelerator.
Someone gave me a damaged riding lawnmower once. $0.00 per HP!
A big, wavy, red and white strip across the back? I propose a name:
Guts: Bugatti Veyron
California isn’t trying to shape the country’s laws. They’re setting their own laws, and they’re such a large economic force that many corporations choose to adjust their own behavior in order to keep selling in California.
This morning there was an article on linked from Jalopnik (Texans bake cookies, roast hot dogs on hot car dashboard ) that discussed temperature sensors in cars hitting 180 degrees. If you’re rich enough to use your Bugatti as a grill in Texas, you should definitely get those airbags fixed.
16.25 million dollars just to get it to the US! At that price? Crack Pipe.
I’d say “anything that David Tracy likes” but Legos don’t rust or break down enough.
Crazy idea: how about if governments didn’t base the text of their laws on manufacturer defined “model lines” and “MSRP”?
You misunderstand the situation entirely. He was driving in reverse, using only his backup camera. If the hood is large and flat enough, any SUV is basically a backwards pickup truck. Do you complain when people put appliances in the bed of a pickup truck to drive home? Of course not!
Come on people, you drive around the track. It’s not rocket science.
Because when 2021 rolls around and the deadlines have all been missed, they can start talking about 2020 hindsight.
