Right. So we’re both making the same point and we both made errors in our lists. FF7 Remake (PS4, PS5, PC), Returnal (PS5, PC), Miles Morales (PS4, PS5), and Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5, PC, Series X/S) are all multiplatform. And Demon’s Souls is a remake.
GhostWire: Tokyo was timed. It’s now multiplatform.
This seems like a really solid cast. I’m excited for a well-done FF movie. The current comic is both excellent and a good format for the movie to follow.
Miles Morales is already on PC too.
I hadn’t really thought of this until your comment but you’re right. A lot of the things I think of when I think of PS are PS4 games. Sure there are enhanced PS5 versions but that isn’t the same.
At this juncture, Sony has the install base it doesn’t need to worry as much about crossgen or other systems. If I buy a console game, I buy it for PS5/4. People are already bought into the ecosystem.
Heck, Xbox is phasing out physical games so they don’t really have retail competition. They can take a year off and…
FF7 is also only exclusive till May. FF16 can be licensed to other things as well and a PC port is probably coming sometime down the line as well.
Star Wars “fans” decided decades ago with the Prequels that, actually, they owned Star Wars. It was part of their childhood and so anything that didn’t do their definitely-not-nostalgia-tinted memories justice was a personal insult. Worse than that, it was a violation - you let somebody borrow your prized possession an…
Not just the internet. Douglas Adams was right-
No. See, I’m a gamer. I’m an adult with a mortgage, a wife, children, a career, and in my limited spare time I like to play and read about videogames. I do not hate women or threaten them and their families over their portrayal of fictional characters.
They were expecting Joel to go out like John Marston. Dying a hero in a blaze of glory. Not to hands of some FEEEEEEEEEEMALE!! (that’s their take, not mine) What these people fail to understand even to this day is Joel was a monster not this gigachad they’ve built him up to be in their minds. I say this as someone…
Gamers(tm) were a mistake.
I never understood the problem with that. Wasn’t pretty much the very first theory with the first trailer that Joel would die or is already dead in the game.
There were whole discussion over the trailer as far as I remember.
That people really got pissed about a friggin story-arc. And not even a really new one. Its…
“What kind of human garbage”
You don’t understand, she killed their Post apocalyptic self insert! Joel was everything they always thought they would be in a zombie apocalypse! You can’t just injure their main character syndrome like that!
What kind of human garbage threatens people, especially BABIES, over a fictional character? Just unbelievable.
Same. Love Kojima’s stories, hate the gameplay (well, at least after MGS 3). I do enjoy watching the games as cut scene collections on YouTube, though.
Because cruelty is the point and their base eats it up. As long as there’s someone else to punch down upon, they don’t have to confront the reality of being the lowest and stupidest of human trash who deserve their place at the bottom of the social scale.
Yeah this is part of the central issue. The N64 was reamed by many consumers and industry folks for having so many issues stemming from lack of storage memory, issues with slowdown, muddy textures, etc. All of the games we remember and love (many of which are my all-time favs) are the exception and the result of…
