I had the same reaction when I heard "Down in Splendour" playing. I haven't listened to it in ages & its dreamy melancholic feel worked really well in the flashback.

Also great for Ann's super creepy breakfast food effigy of Leslie with the bacon skirt and waffle face.
"Sue, did the president call?"
"He did actually"
I love seeing Nick in playful mode & the shot of him wiggling his toes under the kitchen tap was a great end to that scene.
David had a big conversation bogging moment this week on Blastoff, but I loved Kyle's singing narration…"no one's understanding David right now, but we'll get it soon".
Jess' anger management advice to Nick - "stay calm, make tiny fists with your toes"
He turned out to be a great fit for CBB and I loved his line to Lapkus' character that she had a speech beauty mark.
Great job Tereglith - I clicked for curiosity and enjoyed the whole thing, especially Pierce's final scene.
The Elvis singing scene was worth it for that reaction shot from Nick that sums up his affection for Jess. Another favorite Nick moment was when he attacks the balloons & yells at them "shut up, its my mom on the phone".
A really strong episode & they had so much fun with the whole bit about animals alerting humans to a coming catastrophe - caterpillars falling from the sky to spell a message and Peter's frazzled "I saw a cat barking. It looked at me & said it was going to bark, and then it barked."
Barnaby the Christian Bedbug: My Adventures at Sea. "It's short" - Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Their scene in the grounded balloon was my favorite - it showed how great New Girl is at weaving in the serious with the laughs & the shot of Schmidt trying to dance to Bob Dylan was hilarious.
It's always great to watch Elsbeth in action & I love the little details that they throw in. When she unloads her bag on Eli's desk, there's a quick shot of a bunch of daisies peeking out under the paperwork.
I'm glad they waited so long to reveal Alexandra's personality, it made the cultural tease description even funnier, & her "Sucksie Sucks…you know, the girl in the band" line was my favorite.
The production guy casually checking her pulse as he chats to Ron was a nice touch.
The way Sutton Foster took hold of that song & showed the flip side of Ginny's hopeful & romantic take on it was incredible.
My favorite part was seeing Nance lose it and go on a foul mouthed spree, all the while cutting back to the guests waiting at a table covered in cute towel animals.
Nick's futile attempts to break the paper table & prove that they're not a couple was a great bit, especially since the only reason Jess can give Cece as to why she'd never be with him is because he breaks things.
I loved the sound effects of Millie's epic chair slide before the rehearsal, it sounded like an orchestra tuning up. Also her ridiculous notes to the dancers - "don't do the spinny thing, it makes me dizzy".
Cozette's glide into & out of frame announcing herself was great bit of comedic timing.
