huh? out of touch? you think the best way to address “stigma” is to let young girls run around wearing whatever they want? no. they need to be taught how to present and comport themselves in adult, professional situations, precisely so they will not be stigmatized later on in their lives in a professional environment,

i know, i know.... lol...

dude they have dress codes in the Caribbean where the girls wear long skirts over the knee. In both Jamaica and Haiti, I have seen personally. So the question obviously isn’t the weather; perhaps the problem is the design of the uniforms? maybe we should redesign the uniforms so that they are plenty roomy for everyone

I mean obviously form fitting is preferable over boob hanging out, yes. Boobs hanging out - never a good look!!

I mean apparently Ray Donovan is an actual show, but I also don’t see her on the wikipedia page, must’ve been a bit part.

violence? huh? wha?

I also teach at the college level, and the clothes I see some of students come to class in are embarrassing. But at the college level we’re not really allowed to say anything.

I don’t know what the dress code is for guys in your school - ideally no underwear showing!! lol

I am a 34DD. I had to deal with finding roomier shirts and sweaters so my boobs weren’t popping out all the time. I still do. It’s not about “judgments” it’s about teaching kids how to present themselves in society.

jellywolf? ray donovan? the red road? lol!!

were there really adults against you playing sports? c’mon now..

Look, I’m also extremely tall. I’m willing to bet taller than you. So yeah I know what this is like. But this is something we’ll have to deal with our entire lives - finding longer skirts, or (here’s a thought) wearing pants!

It’s not about “more” skirts, just a bigger size. It’s not about “punishing” people for their bodies, it’s about showing people how to dress appropriately in a professional environment (high school being a sort of training ground). For example, lots of cleavage is not appropriate, so girls should be taught that before

lol I wish .. !!

ok you need to calm down. I also have big boobs. I don’t get to wear form fitting things because people will just stare at my boobs. I accept the reality of boobs.

yes! Brian Moylan has taken over and does them at nymag, but they’re really just pale copies of Lawson’s schtick

It’s not the same damn skirt, in fact, that is the point. If you’re bigger, you need to get a bigger skirt. If you have big boobs, yeah you have to button your shirt up an extra button. This is the way things work, and kids need to learn that.

lol but if she were mixed-race she would get annoyed if people did ask her about it.

there’s a lot of different things going on...

lol I’ve never heard of any of those shows
