Same! I thought it was her for a second when I saw the rap before the show aired.

I love, love, love her but she doesn't read Jewish to me, which would be fine but the JAP battle is important.
Pretty sure Hamilton's Lin Manuel Miranda watches. He recommended Ruiz.
Was that the implication? I LOVE Word Crimes and Weird Al, he's just pretty apolitical - not worse than CEG, just different. I love 'em both!
The end of the episode before the last was pretty punitive. The show's about her spiral downwards, people in her situations don't simply get better once they've been punished.
It is and it isn't - but it's clear the show doesn't condone it or perpetuate the stereotype, it deconstructs it. Bloom said when Rebecca grows and learns, the show's over. It's really about her own issues that manifest themselves in an obsession with Josh. Subversive Title Syndrome is a bummer.
It's got a TON of heart and earnestness, though. A very sweet, compassionate show with a lot of bite - a rare combination.
Facebook plugging it out the wazoo! Wrote a medium article on the personal meaning of it to me. think i'm responsible for about 7 people watching it! (so the rest of the viewership )
I predict they make a go of it that's unsuccessful. Bex really isn't in a state to be in a relationship.
I mean, aren't the actors portraying Greg and Rebecca BOTH charming despite their actions and issues? They're too similar to work.
nah, bex has gotta stay single for awhile. the closer she comes to josh, the harder she spirals downwards. maybe she'll be by herself for awhile, then actually find a guy, but she has to be happy alone. Plus, I ADORE Gregther.
I posted the screenshot of UKS' theme song and two people commented about how there are a lot of weird parallels. Two sides of the same trauma coin, both deal with repression, etc.
The work she does? Please, you know Angelica's had work DONE.
I'm hoping they may actually not end up together. I ship Rebecca + some therapy before she's actually with anybody.
How is the show excusing it? Even the FB page was like, "Remember how awful Rebecca was?" Unwell people do damaging things. I wouldn't want to be her friend in real life, but as a fictional character, I adore her. I like watching people I wouldn't like in real life, because they're interesting and compelling. I cringe…
Right, but I was arguing that people like it other than the lead actor's looks.
I wish I could remember what she says to Madison after Madison says "She's crazy…"
OR it's a subversive take on music videos, quite a feminist show actually, with a nuanced look at mental health and interesting characters.
It's guilty of STS: Subversive Title Syndrome! Selfie, Jane the Virgin, B in Apt 23…all quality shows that mess with the title.
It's an antidote
