All the panic about homemade treats was likely pushed by candy manufacturers to make packaged/sealed candy the preferred choice.

I work a field sales route, and one of my accounts has a Subway inside it, right by the door. I’m in there 2 or 3 times a week, usually around lunch. So hungry and literally within 10 feet of a Subway counter.
I have pretty much forgotten about Subway. They've become extremely mediocre. Basically gas station sandwich territory. I have far too many choices to settle on Subway.
I live across from a Subway location. Like a 6-minute walk form my 6th-floor apartment to their door. And I like to walk. I did not bother to get a free sandwich. Or any sandwich from Subway. I’m afraid they’re just too far gone for me.

I am never buying anything other than thighs for breaded after the post about making your own Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Of course I didn’t stick completely to the recipe - because me. But, damn - that makes a GREAT breaded chicken sandwich.

So in the quest for more profits, they’re going to drive up the price of the current cheaper cuts as well. Wings used to be dirt cheap at one point as well, now they’re through the roof. They could come out with fried chicken lips and that would drive the price up on whatever waste meat those would be made out of.
Fine by me, dark meat has more flavour anyway.

Have to say, I am loving the QR code ordering protocol. Probably safer too, as staff don’t have to have as many interactions with random people, especially given how many stupid people there are out there.
The thing is, with boneless, skinless breasts, they’re ok with dishes like Butter Chicken or Tikka Masala Chicken because you’re basically flavoring the meat with the curry. The thighs actually help flavor a dish and add a complexity to it.

Boneless breast filet is great for sandwiches but I never feel like I’m really eating chicken unless its thigh or leg.
Bone in, skin on chicken thighs is peak chicken. I made some chicken adobo, Filipino style, a while back. It called for bone in, skin on chicken thighs. It was one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in a long time.
