Must be nice.

I believe it. /r/Portland was brigaded for a week after the protests in our downtown. Just the most vile things I’ve ever seen - our mods were pretty good on cracking down, but wow it was ugly for a while.

But if the site wants to attract new users and casual users, those people have to start somewhere. If the process of avoiding incredibly offensive content is something you have to commit time to, most people would rather just go somewhere that doesn’t allow content like that.

Yeah, but I’m not a user and part of the reason that I probably won’t be is because there’s always terrible, terrifying stuff when I go to the main page. It’s hard for a site to last when it damages its ability to get new members.

I’m a Hill staffer, and I’ve worked in politics since the late 1990s. (I’ve only worked with Dan Pfeiffer, and while he wasn’t bad, he wasn’t that great either.)

I’m not even sure what “up” and “down” are in this scenario.

People can hate one another and still fuck.

I see it more from a practical legal perspective. The complexity of relationships grows exponentially. A few examples off the top of my head:

You say that now.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but what the fuck does keeping polygamy illegal do to prevent under age marriage and sexual assault? If marriage is illegal under a certain age, and sexual assault is always going to be illegal (well, on paper anyway, we all know how sexual assault is treated currently, during our

So...I mean...I guess I sort of get why she’d rather Trump be President than Clinton? Plus the other day Trump just outright said voting for her helped him, so there’s that. Stein 2016! Make America Dumb Again!

Only issue holding me back from the switch is battery life. I use headphones about the entire 8hr work day plus an hour commute each way.

Thanks for admitting to the world that you can’t read.

When I was 10, my social studies teacher told our class that “A woman will never be elected president because women don’t vote for other women.” Not having the finely-honed misogynistic-bullshit detector I do today in elementary school, I believed him. It was years later before I realized what a horrifically fucked-up

This is pretty much me right now:

I honestly can’t find anything to be cynical about here. Objectively, Hillary Clinton was the person most qualified to be President running this election. She has earned my unenthusiastic vote.

That glorious smile though.
