Nichols gets away with it because he mercilessly critiques Braddock’s behavior as the film progresses. While Henry and Nichols are initially sympathetic toward Braddock at the beginning of the film they are unsparing in making him thoroughly unsympathetic until they utterly destroy any illusion that Braddock has “won”

I count Agents of SHIELD as an already viable execution of the Inhumans.

I could kinda tell it was a line you’d been saving for a long, long time — and I think you deployed it most effectively. Bravo.

Hey! My eyes are up...! Oh, nevermind.”

surely Walerian Borowczyk already did the third segment more sleazily and opulently than Danzig could hope to do it

I read the book just a few months ago and really liked it - there are liberal references to The Overlook that, generally, work really well - in terms of portraying how haunted by it all Danny/Dan still is. For me, the weakest part are actually the villains - The True Knot have a genuinely great reason to be a threat

Doctor Sleep isn’t quintessential King, but on the whole it’s a decent piece of storytelling.

The thing is that the article clearly believes Kattan and it’s shifting the blame to Michaels. If you don’t believe him, then don’t believe him but the article does and then goes on to rag on Michaels but say nothing about Heckerling.

“Thank you for your kind feedback, Bad-Janet. It’s support from readers like you that gets me through difficult times. C+.”

I know it’s popular to ding Zimmer for phoning it in as of late. It’s mostly warranted TBH, but his work on BR2049 was excellent.

Wow. An old-fashioned “The studio head insists on putting his mistress in the picture” scandal. Seems almost quaint by today’s standards.

This strikes me as an overreaction. Loughlin may be a criminal (allegedly) but it’s not like the crime she committed is so repugnant that we have to excise her entirely from our memories. I think it would have been sufficient for them to say “The current season is already complete and will air as-is however we’ve

Man the twitter trolls are having a seriously bad week. James Gunn their biggest scalp is back in the Directors Chair of Guardian 3 and Captain Marvel blew away the competition.
