I loved This, in fact I thought it was Were-Monster’s equal on first watch but that was just the adrenaline rush that it wasn’t as bad as My Struggle III. Still super enjoyable, every MOTW this season has been on par for me except maybe Ghouli

Everyone wants to keep it a secret, but the truth is that, minus the first episode, this season has been AMAZING.

He was given two years to live in 1963. This is a life well earned by any measure.

Many contemporary reviewers could do with beginning to understand not everything is necessarily intended for them personally. Plenty of effort exerted in sounding smarter than the film makers - zero effort in objectivity/empathy for the actual target audience.

I TiVo all the SNLs, and Dennis, you need to check your medications, because my wife and I fast forwarded through most of last night’s SNL. I thought the This is U.S. was funny (my wife didn’t), but most of the the show. I stopped watching after the one man hair band did his second song- who the hell is that guy?

There are plenty of people who rub me the wrong way who will probably never be revealed to be serial rapists. I guess it’s a real thing but also seems meaningless.

Quick question: Why are you reading movie reviews at The Federalist?

Also keep in mind that I can’t say the movie was bad or boring because I didn’t think it was bad or boring?

Sorry, but we have to go with the one that angers Trump the most - which is obviously Baldwin.

I’m sure it’s partly recency bias, but it’s the best of the revival for sure, and I was already counting Were-Monster among my top 15-20 of the show overall. So yeah, this was fucking superb

Ready Player One looks awful, but Spielberg’s visual ingenuity was on full display in Tintin. That movie is sorely underrated.

Ever Dream this Man also made an appearance...

Poorly written blatant geek male power fantasy wish fulfillment in which a kid derided for playing video games becomes a hero because, shocker, turns out a galactic force actually need gamers to save the world. I haven’t actually seen Last Starfighter, but I’m led to understand this is an exact copy of its plot. And

the weird www.thisman.org face showed up again so we are definitely getting a “this whole season was a dream” thing in My Struggle XIII

Very Tati-esque, Mon Oncle, in particular.

When that song came out, I remember getting into an argument with someone because I insisted the lyrics were: Despite all my rage I am still just ready to cave.....

That’s also the climax of Donkey Kong.

Excalibur is a B-movie?

“I have a particular set of spidey senses...”

I knew “The Rocketeer” would be next. After that, it’s gonna be harder to guess until like 1998.
