There were maybe one or two people using laptops when I was in college in the Dark Ages. But I am totally with you on the brain-sticking. Typing something doesn’t have the same effect as writing it down for me. I am sure there is some sort of section of my brain where the physical act of writing is tied to my memory.

That’s fair. I’ve been about 50-50 on his more recent stuff. But if you haven’t listened to Modern Times, I would really recommend it.

My kids don’t actually need school supplies, as the school provides them. I was devastated to learn this fact when my oldest entered Kindergarten. I still buy them new colored pencils and crayons and scissors anyway because GOD DAMMIT I WANT TO.

I could never take notes on a computer either. Even as an adult, I have to write anything down that I actually want to remember.

Rumor was always that he had stopped smoking

I just mean that he’s not fading into obscurity or just rehashing his “hits.”He’s continuing to make acclaimed music and is continuing to be a creative force. You don’t have to like his more recent music, but I do think it would be a mischaracterization to say he’s just sitting around regurgitating.

Now playing

I fell in love with Dylan in high school and never looked back. Man is a straight up genius, even if he’s also a bit of a weirdsmobile.

Dylan is actually still making fantastic music, and he definitely has something to say.

This is one of the most difficult parts of my grocery shopping. There’s usually only one.

My children Kassyopeeah and Dee-Lite are perfectly named. Wouldn't change.

I have an aversion to celery in general, but I think the mustard sounds like an awesome idea.

That is some serious egg salad.

That’s a good life choice. Well done.

I mostly wear a variation of a topknot daily. This is a result of not having a) time and b) the desire to manage it properly.

I think that can be arranged ;) Over nachos.

You really should just want it more. I mean...duh.

NO! I pretty much use Tuna, Mayo, and Pickles with seasoning. That’s it. I always want to expand my horizons, but then I am afraid I won’t love it as much, so I end up in a state of tuna stasis.

Thanks for the condescending pep talk!
