And some (most?) are with the partner they chose because they make them happy, and vice versa. Life is life - it’s going to throw challenges at you either way - but at least it’s nice to have someone to go through it with.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I loved the article and was actually put off by all the comments from obviously single women, glorifying being single all the while feeling similarly to Aimee (the writer). Some of it is just ridiculous, the lengths to which they’re willing to justify their “choice” to be single - such…
I agree this is a wonderful piece. As someone who was single for a long time (relatively), it felt good to click and read how I used to feel - almost palpable memories. Christmas is the perfect day to post it, too. The gathering of family and friends, faced with all their relationships and babies, can be really…
Have you tried asking your family and friends honestly why they think you’re still single?
Erm... I actually agree with your parents. If they are nice enough and nothing jumps out at you in a bad way, you should give them second dates. My husband was super shy on our first date (it was a group date) - barely ate or talked to me. I left early. Next date, one-on-one, SO much better. Only on the second or…
What a small view of the world - your “few friends”. My husband works full time and cooks more than I do, cleans WAY more than I do, and is totally handy around the house. Keep telling yourself men are lazy and women do everything to make yourself feel better.
Too bad. Wish those two crazy kidz could work it out :( I feel like if Rihanna gave in to love she could settle down and have a family and not be the type that’s pining for an ex like Chris Brown or whoever else keeps her self esteem in question.
I’m with you on everything except Stranger Things (explain to me exactly how they could’ve done it in 5 episodes..? Huh?) and People Vs. OJ which was appointment TV for me and my husband. We were actually sad when it was over.
I feel the exact opposite as you do. People Vs. OJ was amazing - Cuba’s performance included. I kept thinking how much energy and commitment it would take to act those freak-out scenes post murder. And it didn’t bother me in the slightest that he’s shorter or not as buff as OJ. Who cares!? And the writer mentions…
I loooooved Wild. It actually forced me to read the book which was even better.
The point is Mariah wouldn’t be petty and jealous of a singer who has the attributes of what I described. I fully disagree that not writing your music takes you down a notch in artist and singer cred - if you write the lyrics it means you really FEEL the song and it tells more about you as a person, which effective…
.... Great reply
I have to agree. Yes, there was Whitney, and they were both fantastic, but they were completely different and made room for each other with respect.
Um, no. Ariana sings from her throat, is pitchy, doesn’t write her stuff, and can’t form consonants. When media asked Ariana about Mariah, she dissed her even though her producers were pretty much marketing her as the new Mariah (and editors of her music - doubling the octave on her chorusses, for example).
Those 3 are not as big as Mariah. Celine comes close in terms of talent but most of her songs are covers and she doesn’t write. Shania Twain embarrassed herself onstage with Mariah trying to upstage Aretha... find it on Youtube. Mariah was shading even onstage.
Singers have off-days, maybe even off-months as she was going through a divorce two years ago, yes? Custody battle? I remember when that whole controversy of the raw mike feed was released from her Christmas song special and she literally had to be pulled from her hotel room because she had been fighting with Nick…
She knew about the Demi thing probably because one of her staff told her about that tweet. Demi’s an idiot.
So? They collaborated on HER songs - and Nicki Minaj is crap anyway. That’s not real hip hop and if you think it is you need to try some new artists.
Tina Fey couldn’t name latinos? She named like 20 in less than a minute.. on Billy on the Street which makes you pretty nervous. Geez some people can’t even name a single celebrity, or a single woman, much less 20 latinos in Hollywood.
Funny - but yeah that movie probably is it. Horrible, just horrible. Cannot believe Anna Kendrick did it with that script.
