What’s even odder is that those of us...with connections...don’t have any extra information either. Generally when stuff like this happens we have a little least a few snippets of info more than the public.

I’m not a super duper hiker--but I am in a profession that utilizes a lot of hiking gear. I’m DEEPLY loyal to my brands because they keep my body functional for my physical job. If you asked my mom ‘hey, what kind of boots does Bernd where to work?’ she shouldn’t just state ‘brown ones’, she’d say ‘Lowa. With the…
I’d follow a llama around way longer than a lama.
We have both men and women at work who do this, and it’s absolutely infuriating. The guy just makes it seem so much ‘woe is me! I’m so useless! haha!’ while the woman just comes off as grossly incompetent.
He reminds me so much of so many of my male coworkers. “If I pretend I’m stupid and out of the loop and distracted by being a goof, the women will do the work for me!” and take on the thinking responsibility parts of the job, which are often the most involved.
It is a lot of white women (and men) who need to feel flattered and have someone tell them they are amazing and they are the only person who can see it and blah blah blah.
I’m watching it too, and I also wonder. But I’m a person who stopped going to my gym/yoga classes because it was all relentless positivity and ‘you can do anything if you just let go of your negativity’ and also had that ‘if you’re a victim its because you chose to be’ idea etc etc and all I wanted to do was be bendy…
I think that ones of the main reasons that Renee Zellweger change got such a response. It was SO different and so...not what hollywood would see as an improvement.
Wynn!
It was rough. Especially when they would say what her treatment was and what they were or were not doing. They said it in that hopeful way, but in a way a person who has deal with it knows ‘well fuck that’s the last option isn’t it?’
I’ve found that political emails are almost impossible to unsubscribe to (also, somehow, the Cubs emails from purchasing baseball game tickets?), so go with those.
If only. Dude was a very odd duck, in many ways, including being the son of a massively massively wealthy family who had lived his entire adult life (and still does, as far as I know) with his mother (who has to be about 104 now) in their Main Line mansion. He had never paid rent in his life.
We had a coworker who finally retired (omg finannnnllyy) who had terrible asthma and during the winter you could hear him wheezing from a block away. Any cold just made it worse. He’d be on the brink of pneumonia and still at work, standing around coughing up neon green phlegm with like 1000 hours of sick leave…
SO MANY LIMES
Does making it into breadcrumbs count? I don’t like eating it, but I also don’t want to waste it.
I really hope mask wearing continues during cold and flu season. At work we have a big staff in a small space, along with interacting with people from all over the world. We get every illness, and it spreads fast, and takes out the staff in waves. We’d all save a lot of leave, and have a more robust staff, if we and…
People’s faces reveal a lot. Some people’s eyes reveal a lot, but some people it’s other parts of their face. Particularly that which constitutes ‘confused face’ happens mostly in the bottom part of the face, I’ve found.
That happened to me with a tetanus shot. Got one when I was a teenager—had a fever, a lot of pain, generally felt awful.
