In very me fashion, I had to spend a long time debating every possible outcome and reason. I’ve never been accused of being impulsive.
I know! I got my first tattoo last year and I’m like ‘wannnntttt mooorrreee’ but am figuring I should place some time between them.
I get why my mom wasn’t super set on it. I would never have taken care of them properly or cleaned them or not messed with them.
They were the saltiest snack I cough easily grab at the CVS I stopped at!
After about 10 years of weighing the pros and cons, I finally got my ears pierced! And it wasn’t so bad! And I didn’t pass out!
Same boat here. I weigh and measure my food and track calories. I have to eat 500-750 fewer calories than intake to keep my weight steady or even just vaguely losing. If I have equal in and out, I will gain weight. Like A LOT.
I was placed on a strict elimination diet that resembled a keto diet for a decent amount of its time (and led to a celiac diagnosis). I called it the murder diet. Because bananas and mangos were taken away from me and I almost murdered my family members.
I am in the same boat. Healthiest I probably have ever been, I look thinner than I did 10 years ago....but am 30lbs heavier, and about 5-8 lbs ‘overweight’.
When I saw her in July she said ‘This is a song about a man child’.
Phoebe Bridgers has gotten me through the last two years of my life and I love her.
lolz.

We’re a pretty popular place for anyone with a large family/trotting around with lots of people (we’re free), and so we get a decent number of orthodox families throughout the year, but particularly on holidays. We don’t discuss politics outside the realm of their historical context at work, but folks just vomit their…
One time I remarked on twitter that there were a lot of Orthodox Jewish families at my work one day, and I asked if it was a holiday I forgot about.
It’s apparently the rubbing and encouragement of blood flow etc that MAY help. But it won’t make them go away.
When my late husband had his original surgeries years and years ago, he ended up with some pretty bad scarring. His surgeon said about mederma ‘it doesn’t do anything except make you rub the area twice a day, which does indeed promote blood flow and tissue flexibility and perhaps limit scarring. But you can just rub…
Wait, wasn’t that the Scientology one where you eventually drank bleach or something?
I’d probably buy a grey sweater with purple lips that didn’t cost $900.
Monticello the institution has been making strides. They are trying and are doing well, overall, at addressing this all pretty point blank. I’m glad some of the guides are incorporating this.
