This fully checks out for me. I’ve worked with a couple of the big four for the last few years and they’re so backwards. The things that come out of their mouths sometimes is just unbelievable 

Especially since Ava is the English spelling of the German name Eva. If assumption I leapt to is correct and the child is named after a certain notorious person, it would make sense to spell it Ava in order to have it pronounced (more) properly.
