I recently started cycling a lot more often and I completely agree. I googled my states laws for cycling and I follow them. Tennessee laws state when you’re on the road you should behave, and follow the same rules as a car. I stop at stop signs and redlights, I stay as close to the right shoulder as I safely can

And therein lies the rub. They are different than cars and pedestrians. As a longtime bike commuter, I’ve had so many thoughts about how cars/peds/bikes could interact better if everybody realized that and made rules/laws accordingly.

Counterpoint: I have never met a homeschooled kid that wasn’t weird or socially awkward. Taking them out for play encounters and day trip excursions isn’t the same as learning how to interact with their peers on a daily basis. Learning how to be functional in society is almost more valuable than the actual knowledge

I could never homeschool because my kids aren’t named Rain and Skye, I prefer to vaccinate them, they have had haircuts before the age of 5, none of them have a strange food allergy and, quite frankly, both of us parents have to work.

I mean, yeah, I could homeschool. But then I’d have to spend a bunch of time with my kids.

It's not petty and juvenile to upload whichever Jonas broke up with her's voice-mail to YouTube for everyone to listen to? Or write a song that says that person's next girlfriend is better known for the things she does on a mattress? Or more recently, the Bad Blood video? C'mon, she's been petty and juvenile for

Right, Katy has songs like Firework about how even a plastic bag can achieve its dreams.

Somewhere out there, E.L. James just preordered this and opened a new Word doc.

Yeah remember 2007 when Jezebel wasn’t a pop culture site? Those sure were the days.

Don’t worry, if this is sussed out and celebrity is dismantled, women’s pay will go from 77 cents on the male dollar to 78.4 cents.

I would also add that Kim has been extraordinarily vocal about political/social causes like gun control, political participation, national and international tragedies (with clear and specific calls to action) and other important issues. As a citizen, she’s doing her part and using her profile to raise awareness and

Me, re: Tay/Ye/Kim/everyone fooferaw:

I feel like stories about employers abusing their nannies, maids, etc. are very common. Why is that? I’d love to read more about it if anyone knows any studies done on the topic.

Also the victimhood angle is pretty silly given the fact she got rich putting out diss tracks about anyone and everyone who crossed her path, made no effort to hide who she was targeting and (I assume) never bothered to ask permission or give warnings. I like Tay but girlfriend, you got played at your own game here.

Or he’s a CHILD who is LEARNING about the world.

He’s 14 years old.....

Sorry to be that person, but there’s no news anywhere on Gawker. There’s an ongoing terrorist attack in Nice, France for the past hour. 60 dead so far, hundreds of wounded.

No Magikarp?

I may have ugly-cried a little at the oath-swearing.

Honestly, I tend to like television/movie versions of things better than the books. That may make me an uncultured swine, but that’s ok. His books are too long and his writing isn’t that great. So. It works really well as a show and I’m glad the powers that be decided to adapt it.
