I fast-forward over "Jedi Rocks". It's awful. I usually fast-forward over the Jabba scene in ANH, too.
Into Darkness was a pop fly, but I'd rate Star Trek a bunt single (a bit cheap, but it worked) and Beyond a hustle double (better than the sum of its parts because it showed some grit).
Not that the old books count anymore. In the new books, TIE fighters apparently have ejector seats. What!?
My understanding is Cushing's estate was well-compensated for his posthumous appearance and that Fisher gave her blessing (which probably also involved a royalty agreement) to the younger CGI likeness.
Not exactly a great point of comparison, but Mark Hamill was in a terrible car accident in between filming the first movie and Empire, and the reconstructive surgery he required disfigured his face quite a bit (which is why they wrote in the wampa attack at the beginning, as a way to explain in-universe why Luke looks…
They could always take a leaf from the old Expanded Universe and have some aliens drop a moon on her.
I'm stricken by her death and think the world of her as a person and as a performer, but you are right. She was not good in The Force Awakens (which was, itself, not a good movie).
She had like one line and about five seconds of screentime.

I found him surprisingly convincing — more convincing than I expected — but the cracks showed around the edges a little bit, and if he'd been present in a…
I score Jedi and Rogue One as hits, so Star Wars films are batting .500. That's not bad. Star Trek films have a .538 average, but they grounded into a triple play with the go-ahead run 90 feet away fifth time up (that's how bad Star Trek V is).
Eh, fuck it. I trust Adam Reed enough by now not to snark on the 1947 reboot idea.
No no, the Double Down is KFC.
Grated onion on a hamburger is a fucking menace to society.
At my local McDonald's, all they have is Filet-O-Wank :(
At this point, it's part-doomsaying, part-reassuring mantra.
Sigh…
That would have been classified as #rekt.
I can think of some other folks who should delete their accounts.
We are all going to die.
