I haven't always agreed with her, but I'd like to see Stephanie Schriock get in the race. I like Keith Ellison, but after Debbie Wasserman Schultz made a hash of things trying to serve as both a member of Congress and the head of the DNC, I'm leery of going down that path again.

Hillary Clinton was undone by the malicious lies of a predominantly white left-wing fringe that Bernie Sanders not only failed to repudiate but cultivated through his refusal to acknowledge Clinton as the legitimate winner of the Democratic primary for months after the outcome was clear.

I would have liked to see someone like Tim Walz or Jan Schakowsky put their name forward — a non-coastal Democrat with progressive values and a solid understanding of what the party needs to do to win back blue-collar voters.
