I got into CCGs in college when a friend introduced me to the VS System. It was small enough that it finding cards was easy, relatively affordable, and the community was pretty tight-knit. It was a blast.

I'm not surprised my personal favorite, The Limousines' 'Hush', didn't hit any lists, but I am shocked that Dessa didn't get a single mention for her great 'Parts of Speech'. It's a great album, and the Doomtree crew is big enough that I'd expect to find someone who listened on staff.
Rabin and Koski not contributing to this list is definitely a strike against it, I think.
1. The Limousines - Hush
2. Dessa - Parts of Speech
3. Janelle Monae - Electric Lady
4. Snow Tha Product - Good Nights and Bad Mornings 2: The Hangover
5. Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe
6. Lorde - Pure Heroine
I'm more excited to see how high they can take Superman's body count, or how many times they can artificially inflate the drama by having characters talk about how conflicted they are nonstop without actually, y'know, acting conflicted about anything.
It's REALLY not semantics. Empathy and likeability are two completely different things. Empathy is essential; likeability is optional. They are incredibly different things with very different levels of importance in storytelling.

… I really want that robot you describe. I want to go on adventures with it, and then get robot-married to it.
I'm baffled by how expensive everyone says the show is. Awful lighting, amateurish actors, little by way of effects… where the hell is all the money GOING?
The first volume, at least, tries very hard to be 'character-driven' in the same way Agents of SHIELD does - with incredible clumsiness.
I just watched Mike Leigh's Naked - brilliant and misogynistic is basically where I'm living right now, uncomfortable though it is.
Actually, wouldn't it always be about power, pretty much no matter what? Whether or not you 'just' wanted sex, you're still in effect saying, "My desires matter more than yours and I can prove it." Now sometimes it's about power AND sex, sometimes it's just about power… but it is ALWAYS about power.
Well, is it really genocide if multiple entire fleets survived anyway, and he knows it?
Well, they DO have an arc, though. The story is a closed loop, but the Doctors at the start of the story would have pressed the button; it was only by coming to see where they came from and where they were going that they were able to make that change. Which is what an arc is.
It's funny. I wanted to suggest Maslany for Miss Misery, even though she really doesn't have anything to do with the role. I just REALLY want Maslany and Gjokaj to work together.
Ahhh. I've never seen Chasing Amy. The main character of Sleeper is also named Holden.
Thus far, Affleck and Damon are producers, but neither has signed on to star.
Can you combat my Deja-Fu?
Dream casting for Holden: Enver Gjokaj.
The charm is more on the fritz than it is worn off, I think. Moffat just needs to go - his long-form stories are overplotted and largely senseless, but lack the easygoing camaraderie that suffuses the series' best moment.
