There are a lot of reasons to not like Friends: 90% of the jokes aren’t funny, most of them have that set-set-spike cadence typical of formulaic sitcoms (see Big Bang Theory), too many plots rely on “misunderstandings” that could have been easily resolved with a two-minute conversation, and of course that stupid laugh…
