Tracey, I think as Alan mentions right at the beginning of the article, finding the right app is a question of personal choice. I'm also a cross-platform person and would like to have a decent set of GTD functionality embedded in the app. The app the clicked for me is Doit.im. I have basically tried every single app

Agreed. OneTab is a genius tool, arguably best thing that happened to browsers since tabs! I currently have 94 archived tabs grouped into projects. Its like magically being able to clean a closet with a click of a button.

I think Tiny Tiny RSS allows HTTPS. Honestly, it has been the most versatile alternative so far. Whenever I end up with a question: Would my reader do that? The answer has been Yes with Tiny Tiny RSS
