I was concerned too until I read that Hamill wanted Luke to show up during the forest battle in the Force Awakens. I know that seeing that green lightsaber ignite would have made the fanboys go nuts, but it would have completely ruined the scene. I fully trust Mark in front of the camera, but I trust Rian behind it.

Umm, I think I know what a Corvette is thankyouverymuch.

Is VW still giving away GTIs? I would think with the revised 2018s coming any day now there would be some even better deals there.

As a Test Engineer, I can say that you learn a lot more from failure than you do from success. Astronauts know this.

I’d vote for the ‘94 R Package as the Holy Grail of Miatas, but I wouldn’t kick a Mazdaspeed out of bed either...or an M Edition.

So who talks first? You talk first? I talk first?

I think Carboni flubbed the name in Star Wars Show segment, and half the internet has been repeating it. Though it makes me chuckle to imagine the Mandatory-4 and her sister ship, the Optional-4.

Galaxy? You mean cluster?

Oh yeah, they’re great. Though I think I preferred CH just a bit more when he was doing videos for Driver’s Republic and was allowed to go off into the nitty gritty details just a bit more. Top Gear has a much more general audience, and I think the show runners feel like they need to cater to that a bit.

Is /DRIVE still good? I haven’t paid much attention since Chris Harris left. Are they the same as THEDRIVE now? Because their articles are...bad. It’s really been tough to follow.

You get a star for flying a Champ. Champs are great, and so is your explanation of this myth.

But isn’t this technology also going to carry with it the same drivability drawbacks of diesel? With no ability to control spark timing, you end up with a low redline, low overall horsepower, and slow throttle response. That may not be a problem in a family truckster, but it’s certainly an issue in anything with

2007 was also the year Mini started walking away from the idea of the center-mounted speedo by including a digital one nested in the tach. By 2014, they caved completely and put an analog tach and speedo right in front of the driver. Why? Because the driver doesn’t sit in the middle of the car.

True, but Flight Test draws the pretty pictures, and they’re in Seattle.

So have the seals already failed in the headlights or is this some other phenomenon I’m seeing here?

Only the first gen “new” Minis (R50/R53) had a center-only speedo, and even some of them had the gauge pack option that moved the speedo in front of the driver. Every Mini that followed has had a digital or analog speedo in front of the driver as standard.

Older.

Kinda like the new Miata? Though they kind of ruined it by having the Club trim (you know, the SPORTY one) only available in black. Womp womp.

YES. Who woke up one day and decided that the default color for the “sporty” interior (and indeed all interiors) needed to be black?

Oh I don’t doubt there’s something getting shown off tomorrow, but this seemed pretty definitive:
