“Loki begins streaming on Disney+ this Wednesday, July 9. Stay tuned to io9 this week for more!“

The article — through the help of Google Translate, of course — calls this an “unexpected” setback, which seems appropriate given that the similarities between the old BRZ and 86 never seemed to be much of an issue for Toyota before. Nor did the Supra and BMW Z4's shared development and production.“

Man, I am so fucking sick of the Joker.

HA!  That is truly remarkable.

Yeah it seems to have been a crap shoot with the early R56s.  Some people had great luck and others had timing chain tensioner failures, leaky water pumps and thermostats, and premature oil leaks.  I guess the later ones were supposed to be better?  Glad yours is working out!  What year is it?

I daily drove a first year R56 Cooper for several years. The worst thing about living with it as a daily wasn’t the small size. You expect that when you buy something with the word MINI written on it. No, it was the catastrophically poor reliability. After buying an NA Miata as a second car, I quickly realized I

No more red interior?  Glad I snagged mine while I could then!

Weird.  Between the tiny opening for the shifter and the lack of any shift diagram, it looked like a sequential shifter to me.

The T.50 weighs 160 pounds less than a Mazda MX-5...How is that even possible in 2020?

I was confused too but mostly because the pictures show the sequential shifter in the car.  I’m assuming that this prototype has the original gearbox and that the production versions will have the H-pattern, but that isn’t explicitly stated anywhere.

Yeah and can we talk about how perfectly this whole thing was shot? How many cameras were running when this poor car went for its roll in the mud? Seems fishy to me.

These require an ENGINE-OUT service!? No car built in the Year-of-our-Lord 2008 should require an engine-out service at ~100k miles unless it has a prancing horse on its nose.

We, as a society, cannot normalize bad styling.

And welcome the philosophical debate that the press has been dealing with since before Trump even took office. How do you cover someone who has such wide influence but who also tweets so much nonsense all the time? Should it all be taken seriously?  He is the President after all.  Should we just ignore it?  I mean,

Bought my first Miata almost nine years ago, and the only car I can ever realistically see myself replacing it with is another Miata.

I don’t disagree, but I’d like to at least have the opportunity to endlessly debate which is better on the internet.

All I want is a little green frog to drive around in.

All I want is an in-universe explanation for why the wings move forward and back / when it’s done, and I’m good to go.

Have I driven a car that did 0-60 in under 3 seconds? Yes! It was *checks notes* the current Corvette! The ZR-1 is available with a manual, so why would the new one with ~250 fewer horsepower be “two fast for a stick”?

So we’ve just accepted that the manual Corvette is a thing of the past?  And we’re all cool with that?
