This. I’m a nanny. I hate the idea that we need to be 100% attentive to kids. I’m only on my phone at a park, a play place, nap, etc... But even then, I’m tuned in to the kids and where they are. I have to be able to zone out or else I’m irritable.

Jesus your situation sounds like a nightmare to me. I’m an introvert, but I can be very social and outgoing once or twice a month. I have to live with my folks, but really, it’s fine. At the end of the day, I can hole up and no one cares. I'd feel the exact same as you, I totally understand you!!!
