“Gets off easy” = “was subjected to the maximum penalty that the FAA can administer and may be subject to criminal charges in the future.”

You know, this is one of those times when I’d appreciate Kinja tripling up on an image.

After reading what they do at LeftHandUtes, it sounds a lot like what they’re doing is similar to what this guy did. Based on the wording on their website, they’re swapping GTO/G8/SS parts (including the firewall) onto a ute shell. Still sketchy.

I mean, could just not register it and make it a track-day car. At least until the import limit is hit and you can slap an actual Holden plate on it to register it (still technically a felony, but much less likely to land you in prison).

Legal or not... I still want to drive the hell out of it.

It’s “bet the farm” not “bet on the farm” - man, it is almost like these bloggers live in NYC. The Farley take seems shrill - as if Shilling is questing the observations made by the NYT reporter, which seems like weak shade.

There’s nothing scarier than driving on a CA freeway during rush hour trying to safely get off the freeway when you can only steer and brake, because you can’t speed up to maneuver. Jesus these Tesla Stans will

The real question is why you Cult guys waste so much time trying to “debunk” stories that have already have been reported and fact-checked.”

No, you are right. I clearly remember how my computer-aided Rochester Quadrajet used to bluescreen and I had to reboot it once in a while.

Like this ferry, SNL died years ago…

You do that where I live and you pretty much get ran over. 75 - 80 MPH speed limits aren’t uncommon here, and triple digits are traffic pace.

You just don’t get any indication in the car that they are on

In 2015 I inherited a manual 1997 Chevy S10 with a V6, 4WD, no air conditioning, and manual roll-down windows. It was rusty and worn out and tired.
