True but many a Volt owner and others think it is an electric car. One in my family who brags about it. Not worth the effort to explain that any car that you put gas in is a hybrid at best. For many it’s all about the show.

I’m mystified by an effort to improve the drive train and bring it into the 21 century while still using wood. How hard would it be to eliminate the wood? Would replacing the wood change the character of the car that much but changing to an electric engine would not?

Ford used actual cars at their exhibit to move people through it just like any ride at an amusement park. Think Space Mountain but sitting in an actual car. All different cars from the Ford line up were used. They were non functional with some sort of track they rode on.
