Kotaku doesn’t care. Most of his co workers left. Kotaku never even posted when he went back to the hospital back in June. His wife set up a GoFundMe and Kotaku never even repost it so they never reached the funding goal.

Considering that they didn't even post his GoFundMe for his van, I sometimes think they don't care. 

It's not to increase their profits. It's to decrease their losses. Sony loses money per each console sold. And since scalpers are hoarding them, they're making even less money off PSN and game royalties. 

That’s why they raised prices in Canada, before the price increase, it was cheaper to buy in Canada than in the US. With the higher taxes, shipping costs and import fees in Canada they were losing more on each unit in Canada than in the US. If people went to Canada to import, Sony would lose even more per unit. 

An equivalent PC would cost way more than a PS5. Even the graphics card alone would have costs more than the PS5 or Xbox Series X until about a month ago.

Well I think it has to do with conversion prices. If you convert the Japanese price to US dollars, it’s $365, $402 for the new price and this is the disc version. Canada was raised by $20 Canadian to match the US price before it would have been easier to go Canada and save $20.

Except Sony doesn’t make money off the actual console. They lose money until about the 3rd year. They make money off the games, PSN and royalties. It’s called the razor blade model. Razor blades lose money off selling unit but make a gigantic profit from selling the blade refills.

It's cheaper to import from Japan. Even with import and delivery fees it'll still be cheaper. The current conversion rate, the disc version is $365, the new price is only $402.

The switch isn’t poorly optimized, it’s just incredibly weak compared to current consoles. Remember it’s a 2015 mobile SOC. It's optimized for battery life, not power. 

Large game companies that treat their employees like nameless entities do. Activision and EA are examples of yank junk.

At this point I think Square Enix's marketing department is just trolling. With this and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, I think Square Enix has master the art of bad viral marketing. 

Yeah getting it on the PS5 is weird. Luckily the PS4 version is always on sale somewhere. It was cheaper than the dlc for Miles Morales. 

I you get the PS5 you get to upgrade for free. Miles morales has been on sale on the digital store for as low as $30. I’ve seen it as low as $20 for a physical copy on Amazon.
