Innovation?? When was the last time COD was innovative? The first Modern Warfare or maybe Black Ops when they added QTEs during cutscenes.

I do wonder who will make Square-Enix Marvel games now. I wonder how much Square paid Marvel and what the royalties are if those games never met financial expectations.
Square-Enix sold IO interactive and the Hitman IP back to IO itself. Square Enix sold it for less because hitman did not reach sale expectations. Yet they kept the rights to the Kane & Lynch series. At this point Square just really doesn’t understand the west.
Kingdom Hearts Marvel World? Square Enix has the game rights to Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. Other than Spider man (PlayStation exclusive DLC) that’s all anyone cares about.
Unreal Engine 5 probably has to be updated to use Directstorage or if a dev wants to go the proprietary route use RTX IO.
At least the music is still good. When they announced that they were re-doinf the music. I was scared. Chrono Cross still has the best overworld music of all time.
SMT games usually don’t get ported sadly. Like SMT5 is exclusive to the Switch and will probably stay there.
Final Fantasy 16 has already been announced as an exclusive to the PS5 and PC.
I had that haircut from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. 😢
Sounds like what Microsoft is doing with Flight Simulator. The game is constantly streaming in textures because the world is so big and wouldn’t be able to fit that under 2 PB.
It probably won't help with gameplay. It'll just be easier for the devs to make things look prettier and easier to port from PC to consoles. So less likely that Cyberpunk Xbox one and PS4 don't work issue will happen while the PC one looks great.
Epic makes most of their money licensing their engine. They actually lost hundreds of millions from the Epic Game Store, how else do you think they get exclusives and give out free games.
It won’t be an Epic Game Store exclusive since CDPR owns GOG.com. Also there have been tons of Unreal Engine games released on Steam since the Epic Games Store has been launched.
Reposting this because everyone just uses the stereotype that the reason Xbox fails in Japan was because japanese are nationalist about consumer goods rather than doing research and analysis:
Not really Nationalistic, as Japanese cellphones don’t really sell in Japan. They’re more into aesthetically pleasing designs that are easy to use. The top cell phone maker in Japan is Apple, they have a 70% of the cellphone market. Starting with the DS and PSP Japan became more focused on handheld games over home…
And cloud loves sephiroth.
The biggest difference was that they had an open beta test on last gen consoles. Nobody got to see 2077 on anything but a high end PC. From software also release review codes for consoles. So reviewers have tested it on the Xbox one, the weakest console.
Yeah, I’m still confused how Square lost the source codes for all their games pre Enix merger. I know that Square moved into Enix’s offices but it’s completely baffling that they didn’t save one SGI computer and backups of their previous games.
Also IGA, of Castlevania Fame, was one of the lead designers/writers on TokiMemo, because it made so much money he was allowed to work on his pick of projects and decided to transfer to the Castlevania Symphony of the night team.
But Chrono cross bad no random encounters also you could run away from every battle including the bosses.
