What a dumbass. Who steals “only” 2.5m and then runs off (other than this douche)...seriously how long does he think that will last? He had 10 kids and couldn’t pay child support, and had massive financial problems. What a complete mental ass-hat.

But . . . but . . . I’m still getting my Paint To Sample Ipanema Blue 911 GT3 Targa Touring Edition with Houndstooth interior, ducktail spoiler, and Hurley Haywood’s autograph stitched into the headrests, right? I have my deposit slip right here. Hello? Hello? Champion Porsche . . . . . . ?
You mean over $2,000 for leather air vent slats isn’t a great deal?
“They put on that Sport Chrono package at the factory, there’s nothing I can do about it!”
Clearly the other 10% needs this:
In a sense, yes. They insist on standard wages befitting a licensed professional.
By the way, you’ll never find a Japanese, Korean, or Chinese run nail salon. Only Vietnamese. Every Asian culture excels at something and for whatever reason, it’s nails for Vietnamese.
Asian nail salons became a thing when there was an influx of Vietnamese refugees that needed to make a living. It’s easy work, doesn’t require any prior skills or knowledge, and an owner can easily get away with paying people extremely low wages under the table and avoiding taxes. Although I heard that NYC cracked…
i was raised to pay but never go back, and warn others away. google reviews has really helped me get catharsis on this petty shit.
Your conversation reminded me of an article in the New York Times a while back about the nail business. It’s all pretty shady. https://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/10/nyregion/at-nail-salons-in-nyc-manicurists-are-underpaid-and-unprotected.html
Oh - and to be clear, I’m okay with shutting this place down. Unacceptable to…
group oriented mentality vs individualism. Willingness to suffer present discomfort for future prosperity.
The same reason that immigrants are typically more successful than their locally born counterparts. In a words, it’s about hustle.
Agreed. But also, you will get what you paid for - which is my segue into don’t get your eyebrows done at the nail salon. Or even a hair salon unless that person is a dedicated waxist, threader, esthetician. I learned that lesson the hard way. When 50% of your brow is waxed off there is NOTHING they can do to fix…
Funny that you didn’t mention one of the other chants heard at these protests:
It’s obvious you have never taken economics or gone to the nail salon with your lady.
When it comes to salons and barbershops, where you are paying to have your personal appearance altered, I firmly believe that you should not pay if you are dissatisfied AND the stylist refuses to fix it. If the stylist gets your hair or nails wrong, you’re stuck with it for a while.
Come on dude. Don’t pretend like there have never been fights over money in barbershops and beauty salons (maybe without the broomsticks lol).
No silly, that’s economics 101.
“Let just say the same scenario happen in black owned salon. Same fight will happen there.”
Lighten up? We should accept some dick head lawmaker openly bragging to a cop about how often he drives at excessive speed because he has immunity?
Jezebel, where it’s the fault of white people that Azalea Banks is an asshole to anyone more famous than her.
