@Howard Blair: I refuse to use any ad-blocking software, ever since I had a sting of running a community website a number of years ago. The income from the few ads we ran truly kept us running; nobody was getting rich off them, and we even had to do a donation drive every year or so to pick up the slack.

@Howard Blair: Yeah, I confess to having tried to reverse-engineer any number of websites using Firebug. It comes in especially useful in preparing a webpage for print when you only want it to occupy a single page, but all the banner ads and graphics and stuff push things onto 2 or more pages.

@Howard Blair: It does indeed, but it still lacks much of the little things that make Firebug so handy. When live-editing color styles, for example, it doesn't auto-complete color names. The right-click interface is lacking. It also takes a lot longer to initialize than Firebug. Finally, when using the right-click ->

@Howard Blair: Chrome has always had the developer tools (CTRL-SHIFT-I) built-in; are you referring to something more "Firebuggy" :p than that?

I'm so tempted to do up a graphic like this for the metric system, just to demonstrate how ridiculous the imperial system is. :p

@Howard Blair: As a web developer, I find that the tools (webdev extensions) available to me on Firefox are far better than any other browser's tools, so Firefox is my work browser. However, when casually surfing I can't stand the slowness of it compared to Chrome, so that's my personal browser. No profiles, logins,

I wish there was a way to keep tags visible even after all their items have been marked as "read" - and no, the "Show all" setting doesn't cut it as long as it applies to folders and tags alike. Preferably, there would be a way to define tag visibility on an individual basis, too.

@jeremiah89: The List view merely alters one aspect that isn't even related to the problem. I don't have a problem with marking an item as "read" as I scroll past it - that's a great feature for the Expanded view, and I like it. What I don't like is how that act of scrolling past counts in the trends as something I

When are they going to change how their "read" trends are recorded? Currently all you have to do to "read" an item is scroll past it (by default). I think it would be much more accurate to mark items as "read" when you click on the link to view the full item.

@Mickets: I believe Picasa does tagging, FYI.

This goes for my children's cries, too. Should I switch them out for more unique models?

Why do you have a Junkers water boiler in your room (pic 11)?

It's the Supreme Commander of photos.

@ImmaLion: Virus-proof on XP is actually extremely easy:

Explain this.

Hulu is infamous for being unavailable internationally. As an "international" myself, while I find this immensely frustrating, I also understand the reason behind it: the advertisers are the ones keeping Hulu "on the air", and they don't necessarily have international distribution or clientèle. It would be a waste of
