There was something about that era that did give us a lot of really well engineered, great driving cars from Europe.  BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, all had legendary cars come out in the early/mid 70's that are still favorites today.

Not totally my cup of tea, but g-damn thats a ton of work, and I really respect what he did here.

I wish we got the D5 and sticks on our XC70's in the states. I love mine to pieces, but wish I had those two options instead of a slush box and a gas 2.4l

Large tires are also stupid expensive, and you’ll be ruining them more often. Something most don’t consider.

I’m not sure one can buy an air cooled Porsche today and not have the words “Crack pipe” associated with its price.  I’m just waiting for the bubble to burst on the value for these.

Its not cross-over enough, so ‘Merican’s hate it.

Why are these desireable exactly?  I don’t get the appeal.  Seems like a shitbox.

The only thing I don’t like after driving base 986's, is its so slow. The S is the boxer you want, and the one worth holding out for. IMO, the base model looks good, but does not have it where it counts.

Dealerships are just middlemen.  This is also America, shouldn’t I have the freedom to choose how I want my car?  If I want to pay more for the illusion of “service” then I’ll go buy my car from a dealer.  But if I’m an informed consumer, who’s researched and made their choice, why can’t I just go to Ford.com or

I do like everything about this, I just really wish Chevy would give a manual option at some point.  Not a “deal breaker” I guess, but it would seal the deal for some I think if it was an option.

To me the problem with Nissan’s stuff is its all old. They rested on their laurels for too damn long and didn’t invest in any new platforms or technologies.

All you see on the roads now are Rouge’s and Versa’s, and the people buying those aren’t buying them because it was the best choice in the segment, they bought

Neutral: My concern with battery tech, is that the US doesn’t seem to be all that intrested in investing in the technology sans Uncle Elon. We’re missing out again on the chance to be come a leader in this technology, and losing jobs because of it.

But yeah, lets bring back that coal....

Thank you for posting some real facts about solar.

I am sometimes astounded at how dumb people can be. The fact that anyone falls for this sham, is telling. I really have 0 remorse for anyone who thinks this was ever a good idea.

And this is from someone who is not particularly good at math, or money.

This is like, beyond Crack pipe, this is like, full on Meth pipe.

Being honest, I wish some of the stuff was less regulated. I feel too much “passive systems” like stability and yaw control etc. are a bit much. Here’s a thought, maybe we better train drivers to deal with road situations rather than spending tons on tech making cars extremly complex and expensive to repair. I suppose

Ahh, well then.

TBH, I’m suprised it took this long then to hit that. I’m amazed that people buy as many new cars as they do. The sheer amount of cars that exist in the world or US alone is kinda mind boggeling.

Laziness, my car is old, and does not have power locks. But, I also don’t keep anything of value in it, and I’m fortunate enough to live in an area where this kinda thing does not happen. If I travel to an urban area or something, or an area I know to be “less than desirable” I’ll lock it however, as much of a pain as

Past it. Peak car came in the early/mid 2000's and started going downhill in the 2010's. Car’s are in my view, too complex, bloated and expensive to be enjoyable anymore. However, in my personal view, the 90's was the peak, just because well, look at the amazing cars we had. They contain most of the modern amenities

If said person is using the capablities of his device legally and or responsibally, I’m not sure I can find much issue in it. Ok, dude has hot e-board, its no diffrent than those of us on this site who have cars for example that are capable of FAR greater than the legal speed of any road in the US. Most adults, use
