My guess is no turbo for the same reason Ford De-tuned 1st gen sho’s...

They don’t want to build a faster car than other “sporty” cars in their lineup, namely the WRX. and essentially compete against themselves.

As someone going through the exact same process as you right now, but with a diffrent car of the same vintage, HOLY SHIT THIS HIT ME IN THE FEELS!!!

I’ve literally had to do everything the OP has done on my black expensive garage queen, so I can relate to this 100%!

There’s only two things in this wold I can’t stand.  People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures, and...... The Dutch!

I don’t know loads about pre-war cars either, but I know enough to know this thing ooze’s badass

Ya know what I’m suprised never got mentioned as a thing in this article, is a discreet antenna that’s been around for some time....

Where’s the MR2??  I’d say thats their best gift to the world.

I have too many to count. Just buy something over 25 years old from Europe, every issue is has will be a crazy weird obscure problem.

A liability for what exactly??

The only thing I could think of is if someone runs you over in the drive thru, but why would I sue McDonalds and not the asshole that ran me over?

I think the sad answer is that people know the person that hit them probably has shit for $, so lets sue the company with money where the

The one thing that bothers me the most about drive thru’s is that if you’re on a bike (non-motorized) most places won’t serve you? I think thats kinda incredibly dumb, I bike just about everywhere, and I don’t want to have to lock my bike up to a rack (if it even exists because taco bell assumes you won’t ride your

Ha, kinda neat. I love the way 200's look and sound with the JT8's, and its neat that they are a bit more rugged and capable of landing just about anywhere.

Um, This car arguably saved Volvo in the US market at least. The XC90 and XC70 were about the only cars volvo sold in any serious number when it came under Ford’s ownership.

Bang on article Jason, well done.  My thoughts exactly.

Some points, but...

FWIW, I lived in Chicago for many years, place is expensive, not sure how anyone thinks its cheaper. As someone already said, its expensive for rent, utilities and food, taxes are insane, everything.

Yeah, you can get by easier without a car, but thats the only way its less expensive. Some folks

Man, that 1994 Mazda lineup tho....  Neat to see!

All this article does is re-enforce my question of why does anyone live in a large city? Its just hell.

I enjoy my trees and lakeshores and lack of people.  But I suppose if everyone thought like me, the countryside would be overrun too.

Who peed in your cornflakes dude?

And you act like you know about how much I drive and assume I’m some wasteful person who hates electric cars and thinks climate change is fake.

I ride my bike to work damn near every day or take the bus. My car’s are my toys, and occaisonally tools should I have something I can’t

They still run steam trains on open rails here. Granted, they won’t run it through some tunnels and such. Why should it be any different for cars? I live in a supposedly free state, I should have the right to drive my ICE car into the city if I wish 100 years from now?

While I’m not against some people electrifying classics, I do feel it kinda defeats the point of owning one. You do it for the whole experience, smells, leaks, difficulty to find parts for it included.

To me, electrifying a classic car is something people who care about the image will do to get that retro look,

Only time I’ve heard people prefer the ecoboost over the v8 was if you’re at altitude.  People love them in the mtns where the air is thin and turbos do their thing.  But if thats not an issue, everyone wants the v8 over the 3.5

Cool! Man this thing is a lot more appealing than past vette’s. I want one, and I’ve never said that about a vette before, aside from an orignal c1.

Maybe someday if I get the $$.
