yep, I have the shit box auto. Its horribly slow. Yes, I do have an m47 I need to finish rebuilding to I can swap it in because I hate that automatic. My one complaint about the 240, with an auto matic, it might be the slowest car ever

Maybe yours got 17mpg because it wasn’t running right. I get 25 mpg highway all day long, with a roof rack and a bike.

But why would your first instinct be that a kid might be in trouble just because they are in a car alone. If it was 100 degrees out with the windows up, yeah, they might be passed out due to heat exhaustion, but if its 70 degrees and the windows are cracked, they will be fine.

I agree, who cares about numbers, its in the feel. Some cars just feel special and are fun to drive. They may not be the winner in outright performance, but they are special in a way that’s hard to describe. If I had $ for one, I’d go buy one.
