Because Volvo engine.
Because Volvo engine.
Why had no one thought of this sooner? I need a set. I just so happen to have a trans swap and exhaust/DP install this year that would make this totally worth the price in frustration saved alone...
all 2.7t's do it break, repeatedly, no matter how much you spend on them. Thats my experience with them, it isnt good. You must be lucky. They do pull hard, and are capeable of making power, this is certainly true, but they were just a headache to me.
We're just a misunderstood bunch. Everyone thinks were a bunch of boring people driving ugly shitboxes. Or hipsters. Volvo enthusiasts tend to be pretty diverse and most of us like and or approve of hooning the crap out of our shitboxes.
As a former b5 owner, I must say this is like everything the car should have been. The 2.7t is junk, and the 2.8 while reliable, is kinda a turd performance wise. Really cool car, it almost makes me want the rings of death back, almost....
I'm sure the v6 is good and all, but it seems sacreligous to put a v6 in this car. I mean, it's like offering a Viper with a v6, WHY?
#6 for sure. I hate getting preached to by know-nothings that owning a RWD volvo with winters up here makes me retarded, and that I should have got a Subaru with AWD. God I get tired of hearing that. I've never gotten my RWD car stuck, spun out, or crashed, and we have some of the harshest winters with over 180in.…
Yeah, I had an Audi, close enough to a VW. A b5 A4 to be exact. Lovely car, except when you wanted to do something simple, like work on the front suspension, and I had my shade tree mechanic "holy ass" moment when you realized there was like 6 ball joints per side and that to by all the parts to fix your creaky…
The subaru generalizations had me dying from laughter at the keyboard. Maybe I should hit the pipe again and cruise down to the dealer and trade in my 30 year old Ovlov 420 for a newer buzz-cruise mobile?
I don't care about power that much, and yes, its capable. But electronic Bosch injection, like the LH 2.2, 2.4 actually works well and reliably for years and years with little to no servicing. Unlike K-jet.
Wow, a 240 at a responsible price! This one looks clean, and isn't a gay-jet car. LH 2.2 I think.. The stick is nice too. Def. a nice price.
Any car with a manual transmission has this thing called 2nd gear. Really so does your auto, you just have to do it manually if you don't have the button. My 850 used to have the winter button on it too.
One word. Badass.
my RS was on its 2nd engine at 140k. boo. There were countless sensors that went bad, 02, knock, cps sensor, abs sensor, coil pack, and the ej headgasket issues..... oh lawd. The original motor spun a bearing, I put in a used motor with less miles than what I had and the HG's went about 2 months later. trim bits…
Its a love/hate affair with these cars. On one hand they are awesome and a riot to drive hard. But on the other hand they are problem after problem after problem.
I don't know why the red car hits the brakes, but thats not really the issue, why the idiots in the civic tried to shoot in there like that is absolutely dumb, that to me was the supreme derp move.
Squirrel PROBLEMS ARE REAL!!
I live in the UP of Michigan, so we get a metric shit ton of snow, usually over 180 in. a year. I know my R would benifit from snows, but I didn't have the $ for them after I bought the car, so I just have all seasons. But my 240 with worn out snow tires is better in the snow than the R which is why I am considering…
I'm finally going to get my 1st solo road trip with it here over X-mas, maybe. I'm still on the fence about taking it or my 240. I honestly hardly drive my R. My wife uses it as a daily and I drive ol' faithful the 244 around as my daily. I'm still pretty new to it. Thankfully my wife likes cars, and I didn't…
What is it with Volvo's and these crack smoking prices. I just picked up an 04 R, full records, needed nothing, great shape with 135k for 7500! HAHAH 30k? wow. just wow.
Mine's even arrest me red with a 6 speed! It's just like the idiots that sell their 240 wagons for 8,000
