Lets not forget that Verstappen was put .2-.3 Seconds a lap on Sainz till he got caught up by Perez. Verstappen was faster than Sainz and faster than Perez. But Perez was close enough in performance and could come out of turns faster than Verstappen due to the engine. If Verstappen couldn’t pass Perez, Sainz had no

But his team mate *wasn’t* catching up. That’s the thing. They told him to slow and move over because Sainz had newer tires. Verstappen stayed out and opened up even more of a gap.

Make or break? This is a make! Kid got brains and hero mentality. took him just 1 second to figure out this team order was BS and unjustified. Good bosses can see and this and put value on it. Bad bosses just want to be boss and don’t like this behaviour. Not the kind of boss you want to work for anyways. Good the

That call came with 3 laps left, there wasn’t enough time for Sainz to catch and pass Perez. At the line the 3 cars, Perez, Verstappen, and Sainz, were a little over a second apart. If Sainz was faster, he should have been able to pass Verstappen.

I think the exact opposite. He showed he has the balls you need to fight for position, he can make his own calls, and he was quick enough to go up till he was held by Perez. And please, call Carlos Sainz Jr. He’s there because of his dad. And Carlos Sainz deserves respect from everyone, including his own son. Use that

I would’ve told them bitches no, too.

I don’t like team orders. If Sainz was truly being held up, the team wouldn’t have had to ask Verstappen to slow down. Verstappen started from pit lane after stalling on the grid, he passed Sainz, and a lot of others and got a lap back. He earned that 8th place finish.

Just copied this from CALUSA’s post in the other story about the race, since he doesn’t seem to be around to do it:

These were bullshit teamorders. No way Sainz would take 7th place and it wouldn’t really matter for the points.
