What is the closest comparison for what this team is/could be to a squad in the past? 

Special screenings and smaller, niche theaters are usually the better experiences. I go to a big theater here and there for some larger releases and the experience varies. 

I agree with this big time, I became very much into Cinema later on as an adult but even as a kid. I had been taught that the theater simply isn’t home, that became a positive aspect to me. It’s a place purpose built for the medium, no ones home theater will ever touch that.

The Mandalorian has struck something I’ve been waiting for, you can feel the magic in even small scenes. This trilogy so far has been devoid of that.

I’ve actually seen that generalization a decent amount, especially since the backlash against TLJ. It makes people sound like they can’t pay attention to narrative structuring.
