Guy Who Complains A Lot

OMG! I would drive the shit out of this!

This has always made me wonder who these people, and where they work. Like, do you work out of state and have to drive 600 miles in a day? Even my friends commuting into the city only drive about 60 miles in a day...maybe 80 if they go out in the evening. I think people have a hard time comprehending how far 400 miles

By far the best color this car came in.

Where are the automotive designers to chime in here? I agree that it’s a proportion thing, and cars are just getting bigger and bigger. I, personally, would rather cars get smaller again so that regular sized wheels look in proportion. Wheels keep getting bigger, because brakes keep getting bigger, because they need

The real question here is, where is Maserati on this list? Because I bet they’re just so good there’s no point in ranking them. Haha!

Everyone I know that has a 2014+ LR says they’re terribly unreliable garbage. The only one that doesn’t get complaints is the LR2, but that’s just a Volvo with a different body. Tons of them sell before the warranty runs out for a reason, and the resale value is low for a reason too.

I think there was way too much ego involved by the engineers at FIGG. When your head is that far up your own ass, it doesn’t matter what anyone tells you.

I wonder if they’re calling it a crossover like Toyota did with the Venza. It never really fit the crossover SUV mold, but it’s also not a wagon. It’s also not a van. I don’t know what it is, but I bet this is like that. Whatever that is.

It’s true. I’m almost 40, and most of my friends would buy a motorcycle if they could afford it. But there isn’t really money in the budget for such an unnecessary expense, and not much opportunity to ride with younger kids. My few friends who do ride, don’t ride Harley. 3 ride Indians, and 2 ride Triumphs. They were

5th gear: Do we even need the current dealership model? Do cars need to be so expensive? Do we need all the tech? Why are there 7 Chevy dealerships within a 10-mile radius of my house? When heading out of town on country roads, I pass 3 different Ford dealers in 3 adjacent towns, with a combined population of just

Can I get a Peugeot 308 with balls, or a Peugeot 508 just in general? If you’re going to inject the US with some Euro appeal, it sure as shit better include some wagons.

I used to work there! Those picket lines were no joke, man. There were many occasions where some good old fashioned violence broke out.

It probably doesn’t help Alfa that the Giulia has one of the lowest ownership satisfaction scores. I love that car, and would seriously consider buying one, but they seem plagued with problems according to most reports.

I think Mazda is smart just skeptical enough of their own systems. I used to work for Cat (the tractor company). They developed this new emissions system that was far and above everyone else, and began lobbying for stricter emissions for tractors, because it would shut out the competition temporarily, boosting

This is what I always do. Unfortunately, my recent purchase didn’t even last long enough for the title to arrive. Ha! That’s what I get for buying an Audi. But with all those years of third-level-adulting under my belt, I have another $3k lying around to buy something else. This really is the best method.

Part of it is also that, believe it or not, the greater-Nashville area is bursting with talent. It sounds weird, but it’s true. There are a lot of tech jobs there, and a growing population of talented young urban professionals. It’s also a much cheaper place to live than So Cal.

I’m mad at them for reviving the Eclipse nameplate as an ugly, soulless crossover. So maybe making real cars again will help. But until they correct this mistake, they’re dead to me.

Neutral: 40 miles is all I really need, but those cars are garbage. Have you seen the Mitsubishi i-Miev? I’d rather walk. And if I’m going to spend $40k on a car, it’ll be something drastically more fun and raucous.

And 3rd gear: it was bound to happen. Unfettered exponential growth like China has seen can only last

This is why I’m leaning toward 2 cars (for myself). I love a good road trip, so a 200 mile EV just isn’t going to do it. But 99% of my driving is under 20 miles almost every day. Hell, it’s usually under 10 miles. But I’m also a car guy, and when I want to have fun, I want to have fun. Also, my wife likes boring SUVs,

What are they odds they’ll pump most of the money saved from “downsizing” into corporate bonuses again, completely negating any argument that it was a cost-saving measure?
