This guy, openly admitting to liking the X5M on Jalopnik...or is it only the X6M that’s unacceptable?

Ah yes, the “we’re protecting you from yourselves even if you hate it” argument. Cab companies and politicians enjoyed a high price, high tax, high regulation cartel for decades, and then Uber found a way to let people get around the racket, pure and simple.
Well then, now you don’t get to drive the Porsche.
“When your son asks why he has to study, show him this picture”
“Women are more adept to tech skills than men.” So if men are more adept at (not to) certain skills, does that justify favoring them? Or is this one of those arguments that’s only allowed when it goes your way?
Saleen S7: 500hp (later 550hp)
A grille big enough to feed & cool a TT V8, but it’ll be stuck with an engine too gutless to find in a base model minivan.
“I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it” — Jefferson
If it were up to me you’d have to choose from my list of approved words, thoughts, and religions (I mean, who even needs more than 100 words? The Founders couldn’t have anticipated twitter!) But I recognize that when you start giving away others’ rights that you don’t happen to value, you help create the omnipotent…
If that’s a serious response you need to get out more. In America, “affluenza defense” makes national news for its ridiculousness. In the rest of the world, it’s accepted with a shrug.
Base TT going for 50k? Had to check for myself: non-S starts at 43k, S starts at 52k, meaning closer to 60. What’s a TTRS going to run? 75k out the door?
Displacement is a fundamental limitation of an engine. Forced induction acts as a multiplier of that displacement. It can make up for a lack of displacement, to a degree, but not replace it.
Torque is strength/force with no time factor, power is ability to do work (accelerate). It may be convenient to calculate power from torque, but power isn’t a “derivative of math”, it’s the true output.
Always wondered what an Infiniti would look like with an Infiniti front end, and the Infiniti from an Infiniti.
To be fair, pretty much anyone who works for a living is the opposite of where Gawker stands politically.
I won’t argue the crazy tech improvements, but “weight aside” is a huge disclaimer. It’s one of maybe 3-4 fundamental limitations a car has. There are a dozen amazing modern drivetrains stuck in such porkers they lose a ton of appeal.
Counterpoint: Ecoboost 5.2. A flat-plane Voodoo with direct injection and twin scroll turbos. The leftover EB 3.5 can go into a Fusion RS+ for Ken to play with.
Ok I’ll bite. Do you think the crowd in the video was reasonable? Was their challenge an attempt to “start a dialog”, or were they going to shriek at whatever he said?
