I like the grade-film synergy on display. Two-thirds of a movie gets two-thirds of a perfect grade.
More than likely, this movie will be equivalent to being in a room with a bag over your head standing in a stress position with no food or water while listening to death metal at maximum volume: torture.
I was a fan of the SotB series, good noir-ish stories and artwork were the norm. If I recall correctly, he was introduced in his cell while being questioned about a home invasion/murder (which was fairly disturbing to my 12 year old mind). I liked the actor portraying him on the show but he seemed a little too loud,…
For me, as far as Jim *should* know, Barbara enabled Falcone to get the drop on Jim and Harvey. She was used as leverage to stop the police from making an arrest - based on how the scene was unfolding, Jim and Harvey seemed to have everything under control. I saw it less as a suicide mission and more a display of…
Soderbergh's version fared better in its terminability.
That's what wearing a shirt will do.
I was thinking adult diapers bulging out of Jim's pants but the moustache might be more dignified.
While there's clearly no longevity in "real-time", I would hope that the next season skips ahead by 7-8 years. Nobody becomes Commissioner overnight, especially when they try to arrest the mayor.
I like what they're doing with Bullock. But maybe that's just Donal Logue being totally awesome no matter what role he's playing.
Based on the flashback, it would seem that Jim is alive because of Oswald's plotting, which would seemingly have not considered Barbara as part of the equation. It's just too complicated for Oswald to account for Jim sending Barbara away, only to anticipate that she would foolishly run into the hands of her husband's…
During the final scene, when Jim and Barbara return to their apartment, my wife, exasperated by Barbara, actually said, "He should beat her" and then immediately said, "Jesus, what am I saying?" The point is, Barbara is a character that can push a feminist with a sense of humour past her limits. I was annoyed by Jim…
I think he was reintroduced in the first few issues of the Shadow of the Bat series.
Trust me, even the underclassed and marginalized people of society have a Facebook page. The real bias is that the data appears limited to a US sample, which would mean standardised scores are a little dumber overall with respect to other countries.
Bear in mind that he's taking individual preferences vis-à-vis Facebook page data and aggregating that to associate with group-level data (college scores). If he wanted to do this justice, he should be pairing individual music preferences with individual test scores. Otherwise, its an ecological fallacy.
Having read the other ridiculous deluxe editions they advertised, they actually say they don't have to do any of it. I would love to see a kickstarter for the mystery van.
A 21st century adaptation would ensure that the romantic relationship goes "full-pedo" - because changing times do evolve past some things.
A wonderland of horrific scars and contusions.
And a very good start.
