You could buy 11 Stratoses (Strati?) for that money. Consequently, you would then also be the most interesting man in the world.

I too bought a 95 Miata without knowing how to drive it. Funny how determination and necessity work! Especially when it's a fantastic car!

I understand the argument for the wear on the clutch from the drag from the flags, but don't know if the flag-mount argument holds water. I believe there is an Act - not sure of the name - which requires the manufacturer to show that the modification impacted operation or condition in a manner relevant to the failure.

I miss when companies made cheap, rugged, fun cars that had zero pretension and would do anything you wanted, no matter how objectively stupid. Cars where a terrible idea could be hidden from anyone else finding out by 5 minutes with a hose. Cars that would look wildly out of place in a funeral procession, and yet

Only in Mexico though

This one time, I saw a STOCK 240SX.

More money for a heavier Miata? You're doing it wrong, bro.

You, fine sir, are a Jalop's Jalop

I was considering buying one of those before I ended up buying my Miata, but my parents would've disowned me for buying a 30 year-old Italian car when I needed something a little less, shall we say, temperamental. Although, I have heard the GTV6 is pretty reliable, oddly enough. I think I could learn to put up with

Now playing

I'm pretty sure this was cross-posted to Jalopnik a while back. Watch three grown men take 40 minutes to start an A-10 Warthog. It's amusing in a really nerdy sort of way:

I shall save this GIF. When I have a sad, I shall play this GIF. And, then, all shall be well.

Show me a motor and battery set-up that would fit in this vehicle and move 78,000 POUNDS OF FAT ASS

IT'S 1973. DISCO IS ALIVE, THAT MAN HAS A MUSTACHE, AND YELLOW IS A GOOD COLOR FOR A CAR.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK NOW!

But then again, I'm partial to Mazdas :)

If I had to buy a DD, this would be it. Can't get more practical, cheaper, good-looking, defiant, and unique than this.

Keep it, and be as cool as this guy

I'm sorry, what are we voting for here? Best car? Worst car? Best worst car? Worst best car? New Mountain Dew flavor?

The most unusual manual-equipped car you can buy new today is a Mazda 5. As far as I know, it is the only minivan equipped with a manual in the U.S. domestic market. Also, you can find them for about $2,000 under MSRP because manual minivan. Do want.
