This seems like a red herring argument, compared to ancient sunlight / fossil fuels, they’re already 10x better than the ~2% average efficiency of photosynthesis to convert sunlight into chemical energy, which then gets cycled into traditional fuels for another loss through a thermodynamic engine...
It’s funny to me that the lead photo here is actually of a SunPower system, not a SolarCity system...
